Antoinette Sibley created the part of Manon in 1974. In this rare footage, she dances the bedroom Pas de deux with David Wall who himself created Lescaut (her wicked and altogether charming brother).
She embodies the light and crystaline quality of the dance that she inherited from Ashton. Once again, interesting comparisons are to be made with the interpretations of our Parisian dancers, past and present.
